Goin' on a deer hunt...

Good Afternoon!

For this page, I used vellum, Bordering Blue Cardstock, River Rock Cardstock, and Basic Black. I used the Basic Small Grommets, and the Vintage Brads, and a couple of small lengths of Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon....

Alex's 2 year photo shoot scrapbook cover

Good Afternoon!

I am finally getting around to scrapbooking my son's two year photo shoot! (he just turned six!!) There were soooo many pictures taken, that I decided to do an entire book. I had been saving several retired stamp sets and DSP just for this, so YEAH! I should have done them long ago, but a year of Home Hospice with my father and another year of recovering from a horrible tornado have seriously delayed me!!

This is a super simple layout, and it is the cover page in the scrapbook. I was able to print onto vellum and attach with eyelets. Just in case anyone is interested, I used the retired DSP "OUTLAW" for the background.

Thanks for checking in, and again for all of the kind comments and emails!!

Forever Young

Good Afternoon!

I think the Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin Kit might just be one of my favorites! I used that, plus some Kiwi Kiss DSP, Chocolate chip Cardstock, Jumbo Brads, Hodgepodge Hardware, and Ribbon to create this two page layout.

I also followed the 5 elements recommendation from Angela Anderson, our fabulous Scrapbook Coordinator on SUDSOL. The 5 elements included in successful pages are:

1. Title
2. Pictures
3. Spot for Journaling
4. Embellishments
5. Mat (around pictures)

I should also thank the fabulous Jamie Schultz of http://www.jamieschultzphotography.com/
for taking such beautiful pictures of my favorite subject!

I finished this page layout by creating a pierced border around the cardstock, and a random photos or elements. I used the Piercing tool and template from the Mat Pack to do this.

Thanks for visiting!

froggies

Again, this page was made a few years ago, and the stamps are retired, but the color combo and layout is always current. I just love the challenge of finding colors to match the photos!

A perfect day

I made these pages for my neice. The grass and path were made by tearing paper, and then sponging some color for a more textured look. White craft ink (hard to see in photo) was sponged in the sky for clouds. The fence pieces are just white paper strips.

Giraffe's

Once again, the stamps may be retired, but the layout can always be used. The background paper was made by putting Close To Cocoa spots on Barely Babana Cardstock.

Daisy Crazy

This background paper was made using white craft ink and a daisy stamp. The stamp is retired, but the layout and technique are not!

This page was made using the Defining your Life Alphabet, in the colors Red Riding Hood, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and So Saffron. I just LOVE these colors together!
